Centuries ago a prophecy was given by an Ancient Vampire that speaks of a woman child, born of both living and the undead. One of pure heart. Because this child is a very special child, she is capable of many things. Specifically the ability to bring humanity to those who don't possess it, in other words, to awaken their souls.
However there are certain rules that must be followed, this special child, also known as the Chosen One, must never take another life.. be it supernatural or human. If she does then her soul will be lost forever and she will completely transform into one of the darkness. Not only that, but she will turn into one who's evilness far surpasses that of the Ancient Ones.. this could mean the end of the world as we know it.
The Prophecy also fortells of The Circle of the Chosen. A group of friends that find themselves banded together to fight for the greater good, the side of light. Each of them is very unique in their own way, coming from each walk of life.
As the centuries passed, the dark forces and ancient evils grew more and more anxious for the day that the Chosen One and Her Circle would appear. They have started to also band together in hopes of destroying any inkling of the Circle of the Chosen, knowing that if the circle were destroyed, then so would be the Chosen.
