Aralynn paused for a moment. She's never been asked such a question before, never really thought about it. "Hmm..Well.. It is only a name after all.. It's not as if anyone can really do much against you by simply knowing your name alone." She thought to herself, wondering what would make someone hesitant to state a fact like their own name openly to others. She laughed softly at the boy's alertness towards her. "You can relax; I'm not going to hurt you or anything like that." She stopped and for the first time she noticed his hair. She was too distracted by the strong vibe the boy was giving earlier that she never paid close attention to anything else about him. "I like your hair..." She said a bit in awe. "It has....character." She said slowly, trying to find the right words. She took a step back to get a better view, clasped her hands behind her, smiling. "I'm a little jealous of it actually."

Nick looked up at her like she was crazy. "Did she just complement my hair???" He thought while starting to play with it. "T-thank you...no one has ever said that to me..." He says now getting the courage to at least shyly smile up at her.

Jessa smiled at Szayel and giggled once more nervously. She began messing with her necklace, which was another nervous tick for her when Aralynn said that she'd be back. She nodded slightly and watched her best friend go talk to the guy who was alone. Aralynn was usually much better at talking to people than Jessa was, though she could be quite the people person if the person she was with was as well.
"Don't listen to her, she doesn't know what she's talking about," she told Szayel as Aralynn walked away. She tucked her hair behind her ear, "I don't really stand out at all." she added.

Szayel had lowered himself a bit, now relaxed more. "If you ask me, you stand out pretty well. I noticed you, anyway." He saw that the girl had been fiddling with her necklace. This made his smile a teensy bit wider.

Jessa smiled a little more, and shrugged lightly. "I guess I should try better with the camo then, huh?" She said lightly.
She looked over at Aralynn for a moment then back at Szayel, "Did I introduce myself? I don't remember," she said and giggled, "I'm Jessa." She said and stretched her hand out for Szayel to shake.

Szayel looked at Jessa's hand for a second, then shook it. "Hello, Jessa. I'm... Szayel." Szayel said this, almost about to say his full name. He decided it was much too long to say it right off the bat, so he would start with something easier to remember.

"Szayel?" Jessa repeated, slowly making sure that she could pronounce it correctly. She tilted her head slightly as if thinking it over, "Thats a very unusual name.. I like it. So were you at Nocturne alone or were you with friends? I'm afraid that it wasn't really my kind of place. The fight kind of scared me." She said, and blushed slightly at admitting that much to a stranger.

Szayel nodded at Jessa's pronunciation. "I guess it is. I'm not from here." Szayel said, knowing he sounded like he was. "No, I didn't go with friends, but I'm pretty sure I made a few. And I'm glad to know I'm making more." Szayel had a sincere smile on his face. It made his smile grow a bit more when he saw Jessa blush. He could swear he was close to blushing himself. "Yeah, things aren't always smooth in there."

"Some how I think that may be a major understatement," Jessa said, and smiled slightly. "But its okay, I guess that everyone needs a little excitement in their lives.. even if it means being in dangerous situations at times." She added.
"So um, are you finding everything that you need here? I usually come to the bookstore atleast once a week..I'm kind of a nerd I guess," Jessa said, whispering the last part in a loud way and winked, "So if you need help figuring out where something is.. I can... go find someone to help you." She said and giggled because she thought it was funny.

Cora walked quietly into the bookstore. She paused once she reached just beyond the doors and looked around. She glanced down at the paper that Alex had given her, and then around hte store once more, looking for the magazine department. Apparently it was close to the history section.
Cora spotted a group of people close to there and sighed inwardly, she hated being near people.. not because she had something against them, but because people scared her.. she was always worried that they'd notice her, or that she'd do something to set them off. Cora took a deep breath and bit her lip lightly.
She walked quietly over to where the magazines where, pulling her hood more so over her face as she did so. She then started glancing over the magazine covers looking for a magazine called Cosmo.

Szayel chuckled when Jessa said she was a nerd. "You're a little too pretty to be a nerd, I think." Szayel could've slapped himself right there. The last thing he wanted to do was hit on th egirl, but that one slipped out. He didn't let his dismay show, but he had instantly wished he hadn't said what he said. To change the subject, he instantly looked over to the new girl who just walked in, hoping she would get Jessa's attention, too.

Jessa's face turned a bright shade of red when Szayel called her pretty, but she couldn't think of a witty comeback. When the new girl walked into the bookstore, she studied her for a minute. You couldn't see what the girl looked like because her hood was basically covering up her whole face.
She turned her attention back to Szayel and cleared her throat, "I guess I should go get Aralynn and show her where the poetry section is. It was nice meeting you Szayel, I hope to see you again." She said with a very friendly smile.
She then walked over to where Aralynn was standing talking to the boy in the chair. She smiled her normal friendly smile at the boy and lifted her hand to say hi, then linked her arm with Aralynn's.
"I found where the poetry section is if you're still wanting to look." She said, looking at her best friend. She then looked back at Nick.
"I hope I'm not being rude or anything, but I wanted to let you know that I love your hair. Its my favorite color." She said quietly, almost shyly.

Szayel bowed slightly as Jessa turned to leave. "It was nice meeting you too." Szayel turned to leave. He was suddenly hungry and decided to continue his search another day.

Nick was not use to all the positive talk about his hair. He blushed terribly and his studdering got about 2x worse then it had already been. "T-t-thank you m-ma'am..." he said and looked back into this book. He knew that he was getting use to the other girl..but this new one...he didn't know, he could see she was alot different though.

Jessa noticed that she was making the boy even more nervous, and it only made her more nervous too. She started playing with her necklace again, and bit her lip.
"You're welcome.. and you don't have to call me ma'am. If you want, I could tell you my name." She said, then wondered if maybe she should leave the boy alone. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to bother you though," She added.
