The Book Store

Aralynn laughed at Nick's reaction from Jessa's compliment. "It's reassuring to know that you're nervous around everyone and it's not just me."

[Nick Hampton]

Nick laughed nervously. "Y-ya girls give me the-" He says but was interrupted my his stomach. He had only eaten lightly today and it was getting to him. He had put his hand on it quickly but that didn't stop it from growling loudly. His face went from his cheeks being pink to his whole face being red. "I-i'm sorry..I'm just a little-" he was about to say when it growled again but a little bit louder this time. "H-hungry...." He said very, very embarrassed and now had both his hands on his stomach and the book on his lap.

[Jessa Johanson]

Jessa smiled at Nick, "I'm getting hungry too actually. I skipped breakfast this morning, what about you Aralynn?" She asked her friend.

She then turned back to Nick, and began fiddling with her necklace again in the same fashion, "Would you like to have lunch with us Nick? I hope I'm not being too forward, but its always nicer having lunch with other people rather than eatting alone. I hate eatting in public by myself, I always feel like people are staring at me." She said, and added a nervous giggle on the end of that.

It was true though, she hated being in most populated places by herself because she always felt like everyone was starring right at her, wondering why she was alone. It was strange because when she was actually all alone, she never felt lonely.

[Nick Hampton]

Nate looks up at Jessa and thought what she had suggested was a bit too forward, but he did understand the feeling of others staring at him, and felt as if she knew where he was coming from. He then slightly smiled at her. "S-sure, I'll eat with you guys" He says, picking the book up off his lap, putting it back and stands there waiting for the girls to make a decision on if they wanted to leave yet or not.

[Cora Remis]

Cora tilted her head to the side, listening to the small group of people make lunch arrangements, which reminded her that she hadn't fed since she arrived in town. She quickly pushed the thought out of her mind and looked over the list that Alex had given her.

Aside from the magazine that apparently was all about seducing your mate, she had asked for a book on how to make yourself more approachable. She fought the urge to groan inwardly and after passing a quick look around the bookstore and making sure that a) people weren't watching her and b) the area that the book would be found in was close by, she headed that way without making a sound.

From the description of the book, it was for women who men often found too attractive to approach. Cora of course didn't get that vibe from Alex, but whatever was on Alex's list was what Alex was going to get. Her next trip was the bathing suit store...

Aralynn stretched and yawned for what felt like the hundredth time today. "Sounds good to me." She squinted her eyes as she stretched. "At least the next time we're here, we'll have a better idea to where the poetry section is located.. right Jessa?" She gave her friend a taunting look as she twirled around, heading towards the exit of the book store.

[Nick Hampton]

Nick started walking towards the end of the store but turned around and looked at the other girl that was left. "Oh, and if you don't want me to call you ma'am, you'll have to give me a name" He says, much of his shyness disappearing due to her slightly accepting him.

[Jessa Johanson]

"Its not my fault that they move things around," Jessa answered Aralynn and she shrugged lightly, giving her friend a very impish grin. Then she looked back toward Nick and the smile stayed in place.

"Oh right, I haven't introduced myself have I? I'm sorry! I'm Jessa Johanson, its very nice to meet you." She said and offered her hand for him to shake.

[Nick Hampton]

Nick gave her a genuine smile and shook her hand back. "I'm Nick Hampton, i-it's nice to meet you as well." he said still stuttering a bit, but he thinks he'll be able to get over it soon.

He look back at Aralynn and sees that she's much farther ahead. "H-hey wait up!" He says and walks faster to catch up with her.
