The Food Court

[Zen Cedar]

Zen led the way to the food court and immediatly joined the line that had formed at her favorite sandwich shop. She was going to get a veggie sandwich with sweet onion sauce, she loved how the veggies tasted with the sweet sauce, it was like a veggie party in your mouth.

Zen was a vegitarian, of course anyone who could communicate with animals the way she could would be one. How could you eat something that you could talk to as if you were on the same level?

[Jak Chase]

Jak followed Zen to the food court. He had no idea what he was going to get, so he decided to get whatever Zen had. "Hey, what're you gonna get, I think I want that too."

[Zen Cedar]

Zen quickly adjusted her order and ordered two of her favorite sandwiches. "Jak dude, these are going to be some completely radical sandwiches, they have the most wicked tomatos here. I don't know what they do, maybe they have a sorcerer back there working spells on a garden or something.. but whatever it is.. its totally rad." She said and smiled.

She then though about something, "Oh dude, I never told you my name huh? Its Zen." She said, finally introducing herself.

[Jak Chase]

Jak chuckled a bit at the girl's comment about the whole "sorcerer garden". Jak had heard of something like that before, but he forgot where. "Zen, huh? That is one wicked sick name, dude." Jak took the sandwich Zen was holding and went to sit down with her. He sat on the table end opposite of her.

"Thanks man, I like it alot dude. My parents are hippies and wanted a name that meant something. Zen is kind of like our motto, ya know?" She grinned brightly then took a big bite of her sandwich, "MMM, this is one wicked sandwich!" She said, her mouth still slightly full, and her hand covering her mouth.

"So what are you up to Jak dude? Just chillaxin'?" She asked.

[Jak Chase]

Jak took a monster sized bite and wiped his chin. He had a drip of the sweet sauce left over. He chewed and swallowed loudly, showing the sandwich was tasty. "Just flowin' in the wind, my friend. Going where I am never to be expected." Jak took another bite. "Nah, I'm kidding. I came to get gum."

[Zen Cedar]

Zen blinked at Jak's answer and then laughed, "A trip to buy gum took you to the pet store? Must be destiny man. I really was just letting the wind take me where it wanted me to go, never fight the flow dude." She said and grinned.

[Jak Chase]

Jak was licking his fingers. "Well, the flow was seriously craving some spearmint." Jak was about halfway done with his sandwich. "The flow also said to go look at a huge lizard, so fate it must be." Jak took another bite and asked. "How did you find this stuff?"

[Nick Hampton]

Nick slightly lost track of Aralynn in the large mall, but found the food court none the less. He looked around and already saw people staring at him. "Where did Jessa and Aralynn go..guys hurry up...." He though as he put his hands in his pockets, put his head down and walked over to a table to wait for the girls.

[Zen Cedar]

"Spearmint totally rocks man," Zen said in a completely serious voice. She then studied Jak for a moment, "You know.. you don't really look like a lizard guy, dude. I definately see you as a puppy kind of dude." She said, and took another bite of her sandwich, which was over half way gone.

"When you're a vegitarian then you kind of know where all the good veggie snackage is dude." She said and grinned in between bites.

[Jessa Johanson]

Jessa spotted Nick and dragged Aralynn with her to where Nick was sitting. She frowned slightly when she saw how nervous he seemed. Of course it wasn't unlike what she felt when she was by herself, she just supposed she hid it better. She pushed the frown away and smiled as she leaned down.

"Sorry Nick, Aralynn can go into her own world sometimes, it took me a few minutes to get a hold of her. But we're both here now. So, what are you in the mood to eat?" She asked.

[Jak Chase]

Jak smiled and snarfed down the rest of his sandwich. "Puppies, huh? Well, I might get that little dude after a while, but I need money to do that, and that gum flattened me." Jak wiped his mouth. "Snackage indeed. That was awsomeness."

[Nick Hampton]

Nick looked up at them and then back at the different kinds of food. "Normally I get Chinese, would you guys want that though?" He asks slightly quiet. He may be shy but that didn't mean he wasn't going to have manners towards others.

[Zen Cedar]

Zen wolfed down the rest of her sandwich about the same time that Jak finished his. She reached in her pocket and pulled out a pack of spearmint gum and popped a piece in her mouth.

"Dude, you are definately a sibling to my soul, man. Not everyone can truely understand the awesomeness of the veggie sub." She said and beamed. She then tilted her head to the side, "Dude, you should like totally let me draw you sometime. I bet you'd make one wicked portrait model." She said, studying his face.

[Jak Chase]

Jak heard this and grabbed his chin between his index finger and thumb. He pursed his lips in a fashion that made him look like he was posing and thinking at the same time. Then he looked down and tried to see his chin. He felt it and noticed he needed to shave. "I guess I do. It just kinda depends on what pencil you use, man. I'm pretty good at art, dude. I know the code of the pencil." Jak emphasized his words about the "code" and even made hand motions. He was trying to get Zen to laugh.
