Many people are interested in creating halflings and most of which is perfectly okay. But its came to my attention that we may need a few guidelines and so I thought it would be best to post the guidelines so that everyone will know what they can and can't do.
First off, most halflings will not be accepted by their fellow species (like most hunter halflings won't really be accepted by most hunters, and most fae halflings won't really be accepted by most fae).
The abilities will be altered in some way. For instance, a fae halfling may be really good in one area of magic (like Nyx is really good with flowers, but she can't work on any other nature magic). Hunter halflings will not be trained the way that full blooded halflings are trained, mostly because Hunters think that mixed blood is not clean and so not worthy of the sacred teachings. Plus the runes will not work as well for other species.
All Supernaturals can tell what species each other is, be it a scent or something else. Even if its a mixed blood. The only exception to this are descendants that were born of another descendant, or gifted adamites.
Vampire Halflings that are mixed with hunters will have the strength of ancient ones, but they can not have any hunter training unless the hunter parent wishes to train them. Even then they are not able to do all that actual hunters are able to do (rune magic, etc). Also, their special abilities will suffer due to the fact that their blood lines war with each other. They can have special abilities, they're just limited more so than regular vampires.
Vampire/Hunter halflings that have an ancient one for a parent are considered pure blood halflings.
Most halflings are determined by what the dominate blood is, and this will also dictate what their abilities are.
