Bladen can be a bit of a nutcase. He wasn't so much until the woman he loved killed herself. He can actually be pretty nice, but he enjoys seeing just how much someone can take before they snap. His better traits are: he likes to laugh, and he enjoys writing Japanese-styled poetry. He also collects various bird feathers.

He has two vampire parents, both ancient ones, both are dead. He has a little sister, but he isn't sure where she is. He also had a wife, Katherine. She is deceased.
History:
Bladen was born in a small village in England. Around his teenage years, he met Thomas. The two found that they both had similar interests and have been friends ever since...although, neither would put their life on the line for the other. He discovered his gift in his early teens. He was sort of intimidated by his own ability at first, but he soon grew into it, even enjoying watching people as their emotions took over. Although he did a lot of traveling alone, he did go on various trips with Thomas. One such trip was in Nice, France in the mid-1600s to meet an unawakened vampire, Alavda. He found her to be quite attractive, however, he knew that Thomas was quite "taken" with her, and did not pursue her affections. Besides, he already met a girl back in England that he himself was very fond of. The only problem was that she loved someone else! No matter. He'd just wait until the opportune moment to strike.
Which he eventually did.
He managed to make her lover despise her, and then made her fall madly in love with himself. The former lover was now forgotten. Bladen now had his woman. He eventually turned her. After 200 years, however, all of his tinkering with her emotions finally broke her. She committed suicide. Bladen was crushed. His own emotions began to destroy him. His sanity began to crumble.
He and Thomas have managed to keep in contact throughout the years. Recently, he heard that Thomas has found where Alavda is located. He decided that this would be the distraction he needed. Perhaps he'd regain some sanity after being with familiar faces...or perhaps some new ones as well.
