Personality:
Venus, or Mom, as she prefers to be called, is very tolerant. She supports anything that her son, Jak, does. She loves her "other kids", who consist of pretty much all of Jak's friends, just as much. She watches over all of Jak's friends as her own children and is there for motherly love or advice whenever anyone needs it, just as she is great to hang out with since she still has some "inner teenager" left. She is very modern, or "hip" as she calls it, which is just about her only out-dated vocabulary. She makes Jak swear to stay out of trouble, but not his friends, seeing how Jak had only chosen trust worthy friends. Mom is very good at judging character, but won't treat anyone any differently. Mom will also not hesitate to punish Jak in public if he does something bad, like swearing or taking flirting too far. Other than this, she is an all around nice person.
Appearance
Venus, or "Mom", has long black hair that she keeps in a ponytail. She also wears tiny glasses that seem useless, but she swears she can't see without them. Jak recieved her hazel/green eyes and height, but Jak is taller by three or four inches. Mom is also covered in tatoos from both of her elbows down to both of her knees, but she usually wears enough clothes to cover them up. The only one she doesn't cover is the one on the back of her neck which she says is for protection. It is of a yin-yang, half-sun half-moon with a face.

History:
Venus was born into a family of sorcerers who were famous throughout Ireland for being of supposed legendary descent. She was a skilled sorceress and was raised incredibly traditionally. Venus stopped aging in her mid or late twenties. However, Venus continued to act like a young adult rather than let herself get old, which is exactly what her father did. Venus fell in love with rock and roll and heavy metal from her very first experience, and even though she stays modern, the love she has for rock and metal will never be out-dated. Venus became so engulfed in this music, that she thought she'd try it herself, and it turned out she was a great singer. She joined a band and became slightly famous and growing. She fell in love with the guitarist, Gerald, and they got married after having their first child, Jak. Venus decided that since she was now a mother, she couldn't live in debochery any longer. Her husband didn't agree. This was the cause for arguement in their obviously irresponsible relationship. Once Venus had her second child, the arguements got worse, and parenting ideals were obviously different. This was when Venus and Gerald seperated. Venus kept Jak, and Gerald kept Rena. Unknown to Venus, Gerald put Rena up for adoption weeks later, suddenly realizing that he wasn't fit to be a parent. Venus raised her child in Ireland with her father until her home came under attack by a great evil that plagued their family. Venus's only choice to keep Jak safe was to move back to America with Gerald. It wasn't so bad, seeing as how Gerald had matured since their seperation, but arguements were still dense. Venus loved that her son grew to love music as she and Gerald did. She especially took pride in his choice of friends, being lucky enough to come across the few supernaturals who loved both music and morals like she taught her son to. They were even sorcerers like them! Apollo and Aries were the first to call Venus Mom outside the family, seeing as she was the closest thing to a mom they had. Eventually, Venus got used to it and encouraged all of Jak's friends to call her Mom.

Strength:
Mom is an incredibly skilled sorceress. She has great experience in magic. She is also a great judge of character and can sniff out the good from the bad. She gived everyone a fair chance to prove their character, but she isn't stupid. Mom is very smart, which is probably where Jak gets it.
Weakness:
Mom just might be too forgiving. She won't harm thing, not even a supernatural whose done something bad, just as long as they promise they're sorry and that they'll make up for what they've done. Sometimes, it's just the saying sorry part, if she knows that repentance isn't the answer.

Mom's body is covered in tatoos, but not just any tatoos. Her tatoos are magical drawing and seals that each have a different purpose or ability that activate on voice command. She has tatoos of animals or creatures that can peel of her body to fight, then reattach. She also has seals and symbols that can summon different elemental or defensive magic. And, just as Jak channels magic through his guitar, Mom can channel magic through her voice. Mom was a singer in her debocherous days, but also learned how to channel her magic into a solid offense when she sings.
