Van Kleiss adjusted his handkerchief. "Please.... Your brother gives me far less a severe migraine. That spry step makes me nauseaus." Van Kleiss adjusted in his seat, ignoring Lavender's earlier comment. "So, Lavender. Why did you drag me out of the castle tonight?"

"Wonderful, I'm sure that everyone will be happy to meet someone from your dimension, we rarely get visitors from there. I know that Nate will love to meet you, but I can't swear that he won't make a big deal about the dragons.. honestly, he'll probably be a little jealous." Neah said and chuckled softly.
She then smiled brightly at Dakota, affection clear in the way she looked at him. "Welcome back. Oh.. I don't think you've met these two have you? This is Grapha, I just met him tonight and he's really interesting," she said, gesturing to Grapha, then she gestured to Riley, "and this is.. Riley." she said, gesturing to the girl, "This is my cousin Dakota." she said, smiling once more at him.

Nyx watched her friend go away with a dreamy smile on her face. She propped her chin back on her hand and let out a sigh. She then picked her book back up and soon found herself lost in it once more.
Who needed real life romance when you still had fantasy after all? And besides, rarely could real life even compare to fiction. That's what she often told herself..but still, she had to admit that she was a little jealous of her friends who seemed to have all the luck when it came to this thing called love.

Dakota looked over at Grapha and smiled. "You SEEM pretty cool. And yeah, my name is Dakota. Nice to meet you." He smirked then looked over at Riley and smiled. "And are you just a beautiful thing...are you Grapha's arm candy?" He commented then looked back at Neah.
"So, how much longer do we expect to stay here?" He asked her. "Not that I have an issue with doing so...I just thought..." He started to comment then closed his mouth and just looked at the table.
"Never mind, I have no idea what I am trying to say." He laughed. His might just wasn't working straight, with his mixed feelings about everything and all.

"Yeah, that sounds great...I would love to." Brianna smiled as the got out of the booth and then hugged Anti. "I think I still owed you a hug..maybe..or I might just be imagining things..but I hope you have fun on whatever you have to do." She commented, let go of Anti then put her phone in her pocket and waved.
"Well, I'll text you later, and I'll just meet you at home Gi, so take your time here if you want to talk to Raphael a little longer." Sure, Brianna didn't like Raphael much, but her cousin liked him, so she had to give him a chance. After saying that though, she smiled and walked out the door and back to her and Gi's house.

"I suppose, but I remember Julius being that energetic when he was younger. Thankfully Im just that girl's great aunt and not her grandmother... that joy goes to my dear sister, who also finds her quite annoying." Lavender said, watching Bree as she disappeared.
Then Lavender turned her attention to Van Kliess and propped her chin on her hand, batting her eyelashes. "Oh, I just thought it was about time that we had a night out on the town, do things that normal couples do.. even though we aren't exactly a couple.. it's nice to pretend that we are. Don't you agree darling?" She asked smiled sweetly.

Riley studied Dakota for a moment without saying much. She sensed both vampire and hunter coming from him, and this was something completely new to her. Once she was sure she wasn't imagining things, her eyes widened as if she had just won the lottery.
"Oh my gosh! You're really unique aren't you? Wow..." she said, then realized she was talking out loud, and that he had just said something to her, she covered her mouth. When she pulled her hand away, she was blushing brightly. "Oh I'm sorry.. Dakota. Thank you for the compliment sir, but I don't think I'm pretty enough to be any one's arm candy." She said, her southern accent thick.
She glanced over to Grapha before looking back at Dakota. "It's nice to meet you." She whispered, kind of shyly.

Neah bumped into her cousin, and offered him a smile. "We can go as soon as Grapha is ready. I'm taking him to the church so that he can stay there while he's here in town." Neah explained.
Neah was uncomfortable and couldn't wait to get out of the restaurant since her uncle was there, but still.. she was trying to act normal.

Gianna noticed Raphael's amusement, and was about to comment on it when Brianna told her that she could meet up with her later.
She watched Brianna as her cousin walked through the doors, "Oh uh," she looked back at Raphael. As much as she wanted to stay and talk with him, she didn't want Brianna going around a strange town alone since she wouldn't want to, "I should probably get going to," her expression had a touch of sadness to it, "But I'll hear from you later though, right?" she put on a smile before lifting a hand to wave, "Until next time!" she turned and went after Brianna.

"Well, if you're ready to leave...." Szayel stood up and pushed in his chair. He took out his wallet and pulled out two hundreds.... Wait..... $200?!?! And Chimera's not even 5 star! Remind me to invite this guy to my restaurant!
Szayel walked over to where Pepper was and tapped her shoulder. "Uh, Pepper?" When Pepper turned her attention to him, he handed her the cash. "Here, this should cover everyone. Just keep the change." He turned and walked back to the group. "Uh... Hey Dakota...." He walked over to him. "Look, I'm sorry about earlier. No hard feelings?" Ok, so it wasn't a sob-fest apology, but Szayel wasn't really too great with people skills. It came from the heart, at least.
Meanwhile...
While all this was going down, Grapha gave Dakota a peace sign. "You seem cool, too." He looked away, scratched the back of his head, and chuckled a bit when Dakota said that thing about Riley. When Riley responded, Grapha spoke. "You kiddin'? Someone might as well have dumped a bucket of pretty on you!" Grapha said as a joke. He secretly meant it, though.

Pepper stepped out of the kitchen with Nyx's tea. She started humming a little tune as she walked toward the half-faye's table.
When Szayel approached her with the money, she gave him a big smile, "Thanks Szay," she put the money in her apron for safekeeping until she could check it in. She found that Szayel was one of her favorite customers just because he left huge tips. Did she love serving rich people, or did she love serving rich people? Not that the more moderate money people weren't worth serving, but their tips weren't very big.
She continued to Nyx's table and set the tea in front of her, "If you need anything, just let me know!" she chirped, turning just in time to spot a familiar face. "Ah!" she squealed, "Rick!" she scampered over to her cousin and launched herself at him to hug him.

"Alright...oh that church...I hate going there sometimes...they give me the dirtiest looks, well, when Nate isn't giving them the same look." He laughed then looked at Szay and nodded.
"Nah, it's fine, Dude. I shouldn't have just went after you like that." He said then put his hand out for Szay to shake. "Truce?" He smirked then looked at Neah, hoping that would make her happy that he was making peace with people now instead of starting wars.

Ulrich had just arrived in town. He had taken just enough time to drop all his stuff off at his uncle's house before realising that he was really hungry. He remembered that Pepper worked at a nice diner just in town, so he thought that he'd drop in.
As he walked through the town, he noticed only very slight changes to it since his last visit a couple of years ago. As he opened the door to the restaurant, he thought that he should travel more.
He knew that when he saw Pepper, that he'd get a warm welcome. That was the kind of girl she was. He thought that she could make anyone feel welcome. "Why couldn't more of the pack be that way?) What he wasn't expecting, however, was for Pepper to launch herself at him.
He barely managed to catch her before she knocked him to the ground and spun her around. It reminded him of when she was a mere pup. She really hadn't changed that much.
"Pepper!" he grinned at his younger cousin, "I'm so glad you're excited to see me. Heck, I'm excited to see myself in the mirror every morning," he chuckled, setting Pepper on the ground, "How're ya doing, Chile Pepper?" he mussed her hair up.

Pepper giggled as she was spun around. She remembered Rick doing this when she was really little. It was always so fun! She felt light as a feather whenever he'd spin her. She thought that she'd never be too old for Ulrich to spin her around.
"You're such a narcissist!" she laughed as Rick set her on the ground, she felt a little dizzy, "Chile Pepper?" she made a face, "I like that better than 'Bell Pepper,' but really?" she smiled at him.
"Anyways, you can pick out a seat and I'll be with ya, ok? I'm so happy to see you again!" she moved her hips as if she were wagging her tail again, "I didn't think that I'd see you until next week!" then she skipped off to tend to the table with the manlady and the lady killer.
"Are you guys doing alright?" she asked Alex and Micah.

"What? You don't like that nickname either?" he feigned dismay, "But you're like a red hot chile pepper with that hair of yours!" he referred to her red/brown hair, "Alright, alright, bad joke, I know," he said when he saw her expression. He waved to Pepper as she made her table rounds.
As he turned to look for an empty table, he immediately spotted a whole bunch of lycans. He briefly wondered if a pack had decided to make a residency here before his eyes locked onto a really pretty redhead. Actually, she was way more than pretty.
She was gorgeous.
He stood there almost dumbfounded for several seconds. Then he shook his head to get his brain back together. He put on one of his more charming smiles and oozed on over to where the pretty lycan girl was.
"Hello gorgeous," he greeted her, "I just came over to tell you that tou'd better direct that beauty somewhere else or you'll set the carpet on fire."
