"I haven't noticed anyone here but you," Nate said. He meant it, he had tuned out everyone around them. The only person besides himself was Annabelle.
When Annabelle asked Nate what had happened to his parents, he looked off in the distance for a moment, but then looked back at her. "No, I will tell you. It wouldn't be fair to push your question away after you relived your pain to tell me." He said.
He lowered his gaze to the table, and pulled his hand away from Belle's and placed both of his hands flat on the table, as if he was trying to borrow some of the stability that it possessed. When he began speaking again, his voice took on a hollow, pained tone.
"We lived with our parents in Italy, at the main Hunter Organization. My father was on the counsel of hunters, but instead of retiring from combat, he continued to go out and fight when he was needed. He believed that anyone who claimed a seat of power owed it to those that they were in charge of. It my and Neah's birthday when the Hunter Councel became aware of a large number of vampires close by. Someone had to go and check it out, but my Uncle Micah told my parents that they didn't need to go. I even begged them not to go, because I wanted them to be there for the celebration. I was angry when they left, even though they swore that they'd be back. Only, they never came back.. we waited and waited. Uncle Micah was the one that came to our living quarters to tell us what happened.. that our parents had been killed by the vampires."
After he was finished talking, he cleared his throat and forced back the tears that he could feel attempting to break free. Once he was recovered, he looked back up at Annabelle, "Not long after that, everyone suggested that we move here.. that it would be better for Neah and I if we put some distance between us and the memories." He said.

Annabelle smiled as Nate clarified to her that he didn't notice anyone but her right now. She could always leave it up to Nate to make her feel like she was special. However, she was actually quite shocked that Nate as actually going to tell her what happened.
As she listened and felt Nate's emotions spiral down to an almost depressed state, she began to feel bad for asking the question. Once he stopped talking and she heard him clear his throat and stiffen up, just the slightest, she got out of her seat, sat next to him and hugged him as tightly as her small arms would let her.
"Yeah, that's why I left where I was from too...and I'm soo sorry that happened to you Nate. But, as you said, you and I can work through anything..just please, if you ever find yourself feeling that way again, come and find me. I'll listen and try to help you ok? But I can't believe our pasts are so similer.." She said, mentally laughing in her head.
The then got curious of something and looked up at Nate. "Nate? When IS your and Neah's birthday? To be fair, I'll tell you mine. It's the 14th of May." She smiled lightly up to him, trying to cheer him up slightly.

Brianna could help but smile when Anti liked her complement, she was actually surprised he did once she realized what she said. "Your almost there, but the tangy part is for how different you are from most, giving you a unique flavor." She giggled then felt herself bust out laughing when Anti blamed chick-flicks for vampires sparkling.
"No doubt! That or people thinking werewolves turn into big, fluffy wolves...when I was these kid's age...vampires didn't care if you were young and beautiful, they would court you to get close, then drain you of your blood....haha, but it's funny, even knowing that, I still have a fascination on vampires..Is that strange?" She grinned at Anti.

Gianna scanned over the menu. She found herself too excited to be too hungry, but she knew that she'd be starving later, so she knew that she should eat something. The salad menu caught her eye, "I was thinking about the chicken salad," a boring choice, yes, but she had been dying for one of those for a few days. "What about you?" she asked him, "See anything interesting?"
She saw Pepper when the waitress was on her way back to the kitchen. She seemed absolutely giddy. She wondered if her boyfriend was here or something. Then the girl looked over at their table and started giggling. Gianna tilted her head slightly.

When Neah heard Grapha mention the Council of Tamriel her eyes widened.
"You're from the Council of Tamriel? That's amazing, did you know that my father trained there for a while before he married my mother? He always spoke highly of it and Nate hopes to go there sometime. I'm honored that they mention my brother and I." She said.
Then she leaned in, really excited.. "So tell me, are you by chance one of the chosen dragon hunters?" she asked.

"I'll only promise that if you do Belle, you can come to me whenever you need anything." He said, then he kind of smiled when she said that their pasts were very similiar, "Neah would probably say something like how that must mean that we're perfect for each other." He said.
When Belle asked for their birthday, Nate's smile faltered, "It's June 15, but we haven't celebrated our birthday since that day. Of course, we really hadn't had any friends to celebrate it with.. we tended to stay by ourselves until recently." He said.

Anti laughed when Brianna started talking about vampires and werewolves, and he could tell that the talk was getting to Raphael. He figured that Raphael probably wasn't as comfortable with the conversation, but that only made Anti want to push the evelope a little bit further, but not too far.
"Oh, vampires are drawn to beautiful things there's no doubt about that.. but you're right. I guess that they'd put their thirst for blood above anything else if they were bad enough.. but no, it's not strange having a fascination for them.. they're quite fascinating." He said and winked at her, "but I would be careful saying that out loud if I were you.. a vampire would more than likely find you to be a fascinating little snack."

Grapha smiled wider, showing his teeth slightly. "Yes, I'm familiar with the Brightmore name. Your father was a great man. Of course his protogy children would be titles." Grapha leaned back slightly.
Grapha should've expected the dragon hunters to be mentioned, but it still caught him off of his guard. "Uh... yeah. Not really by choice at first, but it's something you easily learn to love." Grapha wanted to avoid bragging, so he decided against mentioning his being Dragonborn. It would seem obvious, however, since the Dragon hunters just don't recruit hunters off of the list.

Raphael tried to ignore the talk of werewolves and vampires, such talk made him uncomfortable, but he tried to hide it.
"The chicken salad is delicious, I'm sure that you'll love it," Raphael said, smiling at Gianna, "I think that I'll have a club sandwich."
He then looked over at Brianna, "Do you believe that werewolves and vampires really exist?" he asked.

"That's really amazing Grapha, my brother would love to meet you, though I think he'd be a little jealous," she said and giggled, "You must see many things and visit many places, right? But how did you get here? There are a few other hunters here that I'm sure would love to meet you."
Neah was really enjoying herself talking with Grapha, it wasn't often that she got to meet many new hunters.

"Ah, yes, I do travel quite a bit. Before the council found a place for me, I was actually an adventurer. Just like in the story books. I've been in caves and catacombs all over the world, not to mention the towns that told me about them. It was quite a ride while it lasted. Unfortunately, my "current occupation" prevents me from exploring much anymore. However, I still get around on the hunt." Grapha was also enjoying himself. He never got to exchange pleasantries with his assigned team, for they were all sticks in the mud.
"Ah, yeah, my arrival hear was actually an accident. I was actually dueling with my companion, Odahviing. We just sorta... crashed hear." Grapha got a little embarrassed with the last part. It did seem unprofessional.

Pepper came out of the kitchen with a tray full of drinks balanced in one of her hands. Although she knew she wouldn't, she was terrified of dropping the tray. There were just so many drinks on it!
She paused at the table Raphael and Anti were sitting at with those two girls, "I'll be right with you guys," she grinned, barely noticing the building tension at the table. Then she glided over to the table that was full of hunters and vampires.
"Here you go, Szayel. The usual," she handed him his...beverage, "And here's your drink, miss. In a Styrofoam cup as requested," she handed the drink out. After she passed the rest of the table's drinks, she started to leave, "Let me just give my other table their drinks and I'll be back to take your order," she walked to Nate and Belle's table, "And here's your drinks." she was buzzing with gushy feelings again.
She forced herself to go back to the table Szayel and Neah were sitting at, "Alright, are you guys ready to order?"

Nyx was in a world of her own, reading a new book that she just bought from the coffee shop. She didn't even look up from the book when she entered the restaurant, instead she took a booth very close to the door (luckily it was empty or she would have sat on someone's lap).
Today was one of the rare days that she actually had off from her mother's flower shop. She was in the mood for something sweet and cold, and thought this was the perfect place to go.

"Well I'm very happy that you crashed here. Well, not that you crashed, but that you're here now," Neah said happily. "I would love to go exploring caves and catacombs, imagine all of the information you can find when you go to these places. It must have been amazing." She said, her eyes bright with excitement.
When Pepper came to ask for their orders, Neah chuckled, "I was so wrapped up in the conversation that I hadn't looked at the menu.. um.. I think that I'll have a salad if that's alright." She said, smiling at Pepper.

"Alright, I can make that deal with you." Annabelle grinned as she continued to hug Nate. She her smile grew when she saw Nate smiling as well and giggled at his assumption on what Neah would say. "Well..I think she is right..but hey, that's just me"
However, when she saw his smile waver she hugged him a slight bit tighter and gave a kind of pouting lip. "Well...that won't do...this year, I'll make sure that doesn't happen ok? Heck, I'll even have Alavda teach me how to make a cake for you and Neah...OH! And we'll celebrate it at the cove, and Bree and I will decorate it. Because you know, no one should have to go without a birthday party..." She smiled but then sighed.
"But I have to say I'm in the same boat as you when it comes to not celebrating my birthday...but it's been about ten years for me...which makes me wonder how I still know my birthday." She said with a laugh, trying to make Nate not feel so bad about what she brought up.
