"Around there, yes." Lyla commented on Adam's comment then frowned at him wanting to pick on Elliot. "Please don't, he really gets angry when the subject of his mother comes to a conversion..as to if I am the same..I have no idea what you are taking about.." She asked, actually confused on what he meant.
When it came to Adam answering her question and saying he would rather call her classy, a smile came across her face. Why Elliot said that Adam wasn't a sweetheart, she'll never know. She did find herself laughing quite loudly at the comment of her having Russian in her was quiet sexy. "We'll, I'm glad you think so." She continued to smile.
Elliot was going to continue on the conversation they were having on Adam and Lyla when he felt Alavda stop dead in her tracks. He looked over to see what Alavda was looking at, when he saw Thomas. Oh...not him again. First he thought it would be ok to waltz right up to her when she showed that she detested him, but after knowing what the two had done, he didn't feel as secure with his standing with Alavda, especially since he was in front of her right now.
He gripped his hands together and when Thomas had talked directly to Alavda, he commented.
"It is a great night, but if you excuse us. For you see, we are on a date right now, and we would rather like to have the time to ourselves."

"Oh, but making him angry is the fun part!" Adam said, delighted, "It took me a while to get a reaction out of him when I first met him. That first time that I did, it was pure gold," he sighed, pleased with himself, "But now I have more ammunition." When she asked that he not tease him, Adam frowned, resembling a depressed little boy, "Awwwwww...well, since you asked me, I'll try to not tease him too badly..."

Thomas looked At Elliot with his eyes, feigning surprise, "Ah, and the adamite lover speaks," he looked back at Alavda, "Really, Mon Coeur," he said the pet name in an almost caressing way, "I would have thought that you would have better taste than that."
"He's got courage though," his mouth quirked into a crooked grin, "I'll give him that. So few adamites try to shoo me away. This one doesn't seem to know how dangerous it is to try my patience."

Elliot had to hold back all the anger he had when looking Thomas in the eye. He knew that Thomas was a vampire, and even so, he wasn't scared. Thomas did have a point, why was Elliot talking back to him? Well, with a guy that had slept with the woman you were interested in, how would you react.
"Great to know you hold some respect from me...but please, don't you have something else to do? I really would like to have some time with Alavda." Elliot was very tempted to say, "since I haven't used my chance up with her yet..", but didn't.

"How is this, if you don't pick on him about it...I'll.." Lyla was thinking then put her finger up as if she got a thought. "I go on another date with you...that is what this is, right?" She smiled then looked over at Alavda and saw another guy with the two. She had a off feeling about the guy.
"Adam...who is that man may I ask? Is he a friend of Alavda's?"

Alavda had remained cautiously silent as Elliot and Thomas spoke. Her blood froze whenever Elliot told Thomas to leave. Did he have a death wish? Did he not know that Thomas could snap his neck with one fingernail? Heck, any vampire could.
As Thomas opened his mouth to speak to Elliot, Alavda started to move so that she was somewhat in between the two men. If Thomas decided to lunge, she'd have a better chance of survival.

Thomas found himself highly amused by the adamite's persistence in trying to get him to leave, "Leave?" he darkly chuckled, "I don't think I want to. You see, Alavda and I have so much catching up to do...over 300 years worth. Alavda, I heard that you were an opera singer for a few years," he started to ignore the adamite again, "You always did have a lovely voice."

Adam gasped in mock horror, "Why, Miss Pankov...is this blackmail?" he couldn't hold back a mischievous grin, "I guess that I have no choice but to stop teasing Elliot. It's only for the greater good," he slowly nodded his head.
Adam turned in the direction that Lyla was looking. He didn't like how worried she was. He saw a third wheel to the bike that was Elliot and Alavda. "I don't think I've..." he squinted his eyes, trying to get a better look, "He looks familiar...it seems that Alavda knows him. She doesn't look entirely pleased, but she isn't entirely pleased when she sees me either..."

Elliot looked over at Alavda, as if to plead for her to help him get away. For some odd reason he knew though that she wasn't going to do such a thing. He then looked back at Thomas a rather serious look and put a hand on Alavda's covered shoulder.
"Thomas, really, please just leave, I would like to spend my time with Alavda, without anyone interrupting...and that doesn't mean just you.." Elliot said, not even bringing up Adam or Lyla, just incase Thomas might go after them out of frustration.

As much as Lyla wanted to smile at Adam's joke, she couldn't and actually found herself clinging to his arm.
"I don't like the feeling I get off of him...not at all..." Lyla said in a very quiet, scared tone. "Please Adam, find a way to get him out of here..."

Alavda caught the look that Elliot gave her. He really didn't need to ask her, she was going to do so anyways. If Thomas wanted to talk to her, he should do it when they were alone.
She was about to tell Thomas so when Thomas suddenly reached out toward Elliot, looking as if he were going to grab him by the neck to strangle him or crush the windpipe...maybe break his neck. It didn't matter to her how Thomas planned to kill Elliot, she needed to do something now!
She reached her own hand out with the speed that all vampires possessed and took a hold of Thomas' reaching hand, "No!" she shouted, unsure of how she was able to stop him. She was extremely aware that he could be a lot stronger than her either because of age or him being a pureblood, "Don't you hurt him," her accent became slightly more prominent, "Si vous lui faire du mal, je ne te pardonnerai jamais." she slipped back into her native tongue, "Si vous voulez parler, de me parler quand nous sommes seuls. Il suffit de ne pas le tuer."

The adamite was getting on Thomas' nerves. Maybe he should just end it. Alavda would live long enough to forgive him, right? If not, he could just compel her. He frowned at the thought. He didn't want to control her like that...but why? Normally, he would have no issue with it. She made him do strange things...
He decided to take his chances and reached out toward the blond adamite, intending to break his neck and be done with it. Perhaps he could give the body to Van Kleiss.
To his shock, a delicate-looking, gloved hand took a firm hold on his arm. Alavda. He froze, trying to hide his surprise. He couldn't, however, retain a face of composer when Alavda snapped at him. He understood her native tongue as well as he understood his own.
She had said, "If you hurt him, I will never forgive you."
Something about that scared him. It was like she had slapped him in the face while wearing rubber gloves. He didn't like this feeling. It gave him urges...similar urges that made him leave Alavda in the woods all those years ago. He couldn't form a sentence for two whole minutes. Finally he said, "You won't, will you?" he tried to make it seem like he wouldn't care less, but he had a feeling that it didn't come off that way. Blast! He was over 700 years old! A girl that was half his age shouldn't be able to do this to him.
The second thing she said in her native tongue, however, made him smirk. She had said, "If you want to talk, talk to me when we're alone. Just don't kill him. Practically permission to see her later.
He shifted his arm so that he was now gently holding her hand. His blue/gray eyes looked right into her green ones. He had always liked the orange flakes that disrupted the otherwise solid green of her irises, "Alright," he kissed the palm of her hand, "As you wish, Mon Coeur," he released her hand. He turned as if he were about to go, but then turned back, "Tu me verras bientôt ... peut-être ce soir?" he chuckled before turning to actually leave this time.

If there wasn't a potentially deadly vampire in the park that was frightening Lyla, he would actually be highly enjoying her clinging to his arm. He would have found an excuse to hug her as well, he was sure. Instead, he put a reassuring arm around her shoulders, not talking his eyes off the vampire, "It's okay...doesn't look like anything's gonna happen," he was unsure of that. Alavda looked more tense than usual. As much as he liked to shirk his hunter duties, he didn't want Lyla to get caught up in whatever was about to happen. He moved Lyla behind him and started to creep over to where they all were, gesturing for Lyla to stay where she was. Somehow, he knew that she wouldn't listen. He was about to move when he saw the male vampire reach out to Elliot, but ended up dropping his jaw instead. Did Alavda just do that? That was unusually gutsy of her. He looked back at Lyla and mouthed, "Did you see that? " he couldn't help but overhear what the male said to Alavda before it turned to go. His grandparents being French, his parents had forced him to learn French so that he could talk to his grandparents. So he understood what was said. He furrowed his brows, confused, "What the h-" he was about to cuss, but stopped.

Lyla did have to admit that she felt calmer when Adam put his arm around her shoulder, but didn't like when he started to creep forward without her, and then even asked if she would stay behind. That wasn't going to fly with her. She had been told to many times when she was young to stay behind.
Especially when Adam asked her if she saw something. From what it looked like, That man was grabbing Ala! She growled, running out of the flowery area she was in and towards the man, all her fear past her now. "Hey! How dare you touch my friend without her permission then walk away!" She shouted at the man. Now standing firmly where she was, with both hands on her hips and her head slightly tilted to the side.
Elliot glared at Thomas as he walked off, a smile on his face, and even more so with the attack he just had tried with him. Was he really going to think killing him would make Alavda any happier with him? He was about to lightly touch Alavda's shoulder and ask what she just said to Thomas when she saw Lyla running across where they were and towards the man. Ok, Elliot had every reason to be angry with Thomas..but what was Lyla doing?!
"Lyla! Get away from him!" Elliot protested.

In the middle of walking away, Thomas suddenly found himself being yelled at by what smelled like an unawakened vampire. He turned toward her, one eyebrow raised. He closed his eyes then took a deep breath. She smelled delicious. Thomas opened his eyes again and gave her a smile that was almost a smirk.
"Who ever said that I did not have her permission?" he gestured toward Alavda, "She does not appear unhappy, does she?" he started to use his power to make her mind clouded before he spotted the hunter who was reaching for some sort of a weapon. He grimaced.
He calculated the situation. He really didn't like to mess with hunters. Far too troublesome. Made getting what he wanted not entirely worth it. And then there were probably too many witnesses. He had had trouble with the hunters before. Troublesome business.
He decided that he'd save the unawakened one for later, "You should listen to your friend," he smiled in such a way that the girl would get a flash of his fangs. He didn't particularly mind if she was scared of him. Made the hunt so much more interesting...then again, it could be troublesome.
