She is laid-back, cautious and quiet. Alavda is generally friendly, however, she can be a little withdrawn due to the circumstances of her awakening. She can have quite a romantic view on life, although it has been dimmed during the years. She used to trust people right away, and it seems like she still does, but in reality, she doesn't. It takes a while for her to really trust somebody. She absolutely loves kids and dislikes anyone who abuses them.
Appearance
Has wavy/curly black hair that reaches just above her waist. Green eyes with spots of orange. Has an hourglass figure. She is what some people would call classically attractive. Think, Mae West. But she isn't quite aware of just how attractive she is sometimes. She usually wears a black and white dress that has a slightly Gothic theme. The dress laces up in the back like a corset with white laces. The dress is generally all black, but it has a white underskirt that ends just above her knees with black leggings and black knee-high boots.

History:
Alavda wasn't aware of her Vampiric nature until her eighteenth year.
Born in Nice, France in 1661 to a vampire, Sylvain, and his human wife, Chantal. Alavda's early life wasn't a happy one. Her mother died after giving birth to her sister. Everyone thought that the baby would live, but sadly, the baby died 24 hours later. After her mother died, Alavda's father was never the same. The best memory of her father before her mother died, was when she saw a Lark at her window, and her father told her that he named her after the beautiful and lyrical lark, hoping that she would be inherit those qualities. However, when her mother died, he couldn't pay that much attention to her because she reminded him too much of her mother. In order to get some distance, Alavda was sent to a convent when she was ten for two years and her brother went to study abroad.
Her later life was much happier with the distractions of parties and friendship. One day her life was plunged into spring when she met a young, British nobleman, Thomas, Earl of Bristol. She had a classical case of love-at-first-sight. However, her father did not approve of the relationship for reasons unknown to Alavda, and told her to end it. She could do much better. But Alavda didn't care about what her father thought, though. She loved Thomas and there was nothing that her father could do about it (it's not like he had much to do with her anyways...).
The happiest -and saddest day of her life was when she eloped with her love. Just before they got to the church, it happened. She discovered the true nature of Thomas. She was able to push away from him and ran, putting pressure on her bleeding neck, but he was too fast for her. She was found the next day unconscious and alone in the woods by her father. That's when he told her about her heritage and the reason why he wanted her to stay away from Thomas. That was the last time she saw her father.
For a few centuries she wandered around Europe, learning to control her blood lust and making honest money by taking on a few roles in the opera (she refused to steal from anyone she accidentally killed). Now she's wanting to travel to some different lands...

Strength:
Alavda is fairly good strategist, she is quite flexible, and quite the charmer. She's been told that she has a great aim in archery.
Weakness:
She can be a little too kind sometimes. She can be quite gullible. Her sense of love is one of her greatest weakness.
Even though she has a deep resentment for Thomas, she still loves him. If she sees someone who reminds her of him, she is more likely to believe them. She can be hot tempered at times, especially if she sees that someone is being used or abused.
Special Ability:
Edit: She can see what someone has done in the past by touching them. The thing is, it only works if she's touching their skin and she also has to know their name -their real name, not a nickname. Even then, the images that she sees and the sounds that she hears could still be fuzzy.

She mainly feeds on those who won't be missed (just in case she looses herself to the blood lust. She is trying to find a different way to satisfy it.
