Deciding Where To Go

"Oh, well, I'll keep that in mind when I start paying rent," he was sorry he asked...sort of. If anything, he thought he was more curious than ever to meet Alex. Then again, if what Alona said was true, maybe he shouldn't...there was no way he wanted to be hit on by a he-she.

"I see..." he said, instantly feeling awkward for asking. He wanted to ask what happened to her parents, but even he knew that he probably did not know her well enough to ask. "Oh, so you have two brothers? I'm lucky to only have one," he didn't quite like his brother that much, "But it's good to know that at least one of them notices things, right?"

"Yes, my man card!" he unconsciously puffed his chest out like a manly-man, "But I can see your woman card won't stand for me paying for all of it too," he nodded his head at her solution, "That sounds good. Where to first?"

Alona giggled slightly. "Well, if you're lucky like me, you don't have to pay rent and only have to deal with Alex occasionally." She sensed he felt slightly awkward when she told him about basically not having parents, and grinned at him to reassure him. "Yeah, I have Jordan who is a few years older than me and Taylor, who is the same age as me. Well, he is older by like half an hour but that doesn't really count. Taylor only notices girls really." Alona snickered. She enjoyed making fun of Taylor. It wasn't hard. They were twins, so they each knew everything about the other.

Alona couldn't help but laughing when Tyler puffed out his chest unconsciously. She always thought it was both funny and cute when guys did that whole posturing testosterone thing they do. She kind of chuckled when he said "woman card", though. Guys, she thought, grinning amusedly. "Well, I guess Zellers is a good a place as any to start." She motioned with a nod of her head to the store across the hallway. She started off, walking beside Tyler, looking at her list for what to get first.
