Alona was walking through the mall, her arms full of holiday gifts and wrapping paper and other miscellaneous holiday items. Christmas this year was going to be big. She was finishing her last minute Christmas shopping and was already getting tired carrying around all this stuff. Finding a cart, Alona carefully put her Christmas items into it and loosened her scarf, her red hair falling about her shoulders as her ponytail loosened. She walked to the food court. It was around noon and she was already pretty hungry, having skipped breakfast this morning.
'Not smart.' she thought to herself, setting her cart by a table and taking off her coat. She walked over to the the area that had all the restaurant booths to decide what to get. After a quick debate, she went for a loaded burger with large fries and large drink. After getting her food, she sat down to eat before she moved on to the next store.

Keria had already done most of her shopping for both herself and for the party she was going to. She now was just looking for one object that has alluded her for months. Her fiery red hair was pulled into a messy bun and she started to adjust her moss green scarf when she saw Alona out of the corner of her eye. She smiled widely as she walked over to Alona and hugged her tightly.
"Oh, what are you doing here? Waiting till the last minute to do your shopping? For shame." Keria snickered. "You look rather lovely today, trying to impress someone?" She teased.

Alona grinned brightly when Keira walked over and hugged her back tightly. "You would not believe how bad I am for last minute shopping. I do it every year. I'm just glad they have wrapping stations, it saves me from trying to hide things from Taylor's pesky sniffer. Jordan can be just as bad when there is something he really wants."
She put her jacket in the cart since she still had a few more stores to venture to and didn't feel like overheating. Blushing lightly, she replied to Keira's question. "N-not really. There was this one guy I met once in a lesser situation and I haven't really seen much of him since. It'd be nice to, though" she said, grinning.
Moaning in mock pain, she turned to Keira again. "How did you get all yours done? My brothers are almost impossible to shop for!"

Keria heard Alona's words as she looked over that the cart Alona had with her "Wow, you weren't kidding though when you said you are an awful last minute shopper. I can say I believe it now" she laughed into her hand. When she saw Alona blush, her eyes to a mischievous gleam.
"Oh? Well, maybe he may come to the party this year..you never knooooow~" Keria sang the last part. As she finished that up she looked up at the ceiling and then back at Alona. "Oh, I didn't have much of an issue shopping for you or Taylor..it's just Jordan that I'm still looking for. Actually, it's the reason I'm here at this moment." Keria said with a mental nod.

Alona grinned sheepishly at Keira. "That I am." Alona blushed again when Keira mentioned him coming to the party. "I dunno, I don't really know him that well. I'm pretty sure he doesn't even know where I live." She grinned. "Though I certainly wouldn't complain."
"Jordan can he hard to shop for too." she says, nodding. "Though he's pretty simple to shop for at the same time. He never really wants much but when he does you know. Have you got any ideas?"
Alona started walking with her cart and Keira into the next store, browsing for a few more ideas.

Keira noticed the blush again and smiled. "Oh, well, if he's a lycan like the two of us and likes you just as much as you like him, he'll find you easily." She then laughed. "And it's pretty hard not to smell all the great food inside the house either."
When Alona asked Keira what she was thinking about getting him she smiled. "I was thinking about getting him different spices and a book on native american spices and dishes, so, you know, you can have one from time to time." Keria smiled. "Thing is, it's hard to find that book...it use to be in the book shop, but it seems to be gone now." Keria sighs.

Alona grinned brightly. "Yeah I guess you're right!" Though at the same time, she wasn't even sure what he was. Not that it mattered, of course. After all, Alona herself was a mix of two species. Nowadays love usually transcends species anyway.
"That sounds like a good idea. We could always check out if the bookstore got it in again, or if its in another store. Grocery stores often sell cookbooks. And he'll love the spices, he's always looking for something to experiment with. You should have seen him, the other day, he was making this Moroccan dish, oh what was it called?" She banged her palm against her forehead several times trying to remember.
"Oh! Seafood Tagine! And he was trying to make it a little less spicy while bringing out the flavor and he had been been saying he could do with some new spices! And I remember him mentioning this one Cherokee recipe book he noticed at the bookstore he'd been thinking of getting but decided against it at the time."
Alona wandered into the bookstore, into the recipe book section. "Maybe the book you're looking for is here? Wouldn't it be funny if the book you were gonna get him is the one he'd been thinking of getting?"

"And you doubted me for a second?" Keria laughed again as she then gave her own bright smile as Alona explained that Jordan was in need of some spices anyways. "Oh, that's just perfect then. Maybe I'll get him a nice rack to go with it. Though I may just get someone in my pack to make it and I decorate it." She was feeling creative now.
As Alona was explaining more about what Jordan wanted, she laughed. "Yeah, I think that was it, but I could be wrong, it was a few months ago when I saw it and, come on now, that was a few months ago." She snickered as she started looking through the books, sliding her fingers along the spines.
"No...no...that's not it, wait? No, wrong indian." Keria laughed then looked at the very end of the shelf and pulled the book out. "I found it! And wouldn't cha know it, it was the one he was looking at, HA, am I good or what?" Keria smiled widely with the book now close to her chest.
